Adult Swim Classes
For anyone over the age of 15 seeking to learn the basics of swimming, Aquatic Adventures offers adult swim lessons.
We provide a comfortable and age-appropriate atmosphere for students. From those who have never been in the water to those improving their basic techniques, we have the right programs.

Beginners Fundamental Aquatics Levels 1-3
Level 1: 1-2 pm – becoming comfortable in and around water, submerging face and ears, floating on front and back with little support
Level 2: 12-1 pm – Alternating arm and leg action on front, Simultaneous arm and leg action on back, floating on front and back with recovery vertical position
Level 3: 11 am – 12 pm – Refinement of freestyle and elementary backstroke, rotary breathing techniques, introduction to sidestroke and breaststroke
Intermediate & Advanced Stroke Refinement Class 4-5 pm -Freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, rotary breathing, flip turns, building endurance and pacing
FUNDAMENTAL AQUATIC SKILLS
This class serves to give students success with their basic skills. Students learn to float without support and to recover to a vertical position. To lay the foundation for future strokes, students develop their abilities with alternating arm and leg actions. Safety skills and basic knowledge are the primary focus in this course.

This class is tailored to students and their desired skills. Students are therefore not required to practice skills in a particular order.
In this course, swimmers will develop confidence in the strokes they have already learned and improve upon other aquatic skills. By swimming familiar strokes (front crawl, elementary backstroke, back crawl, and breast stroke) at greater distances, students will increase endurance. Students will also learn new strokes and flip turns (back and front) through this course.

This class is designed for adults who can swim, but desire to improve technique and endurance. Many students attend the Intermediate Class to develop skills for lap swimming or triathlons.
