Dave Shaw
Dave learned how to dive in the Red Sea where the teaching style of his instructors inspired him to become a pro as well. His most memorable dives in the Red Sea were on a liveaboard with his friends. They dove the Thistlegorm wreck and other amazing sites.
As a PADI IDC Staff Instructor and Emergency First Response Instructor Trainer in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Dave issued over 500 certifications. He was also a VA School Certifying Official and administrator for a career program that turned non-divers into instructors.
In between classes, Dave served as a first mate/divemaster on a charter boat, and his favorite activity was the Dive Bomb—diving down to a wreck as fast as you can to attach the chain and rope for the charter divers.
On his way to becoming a tech diver, Dave took a dry suit course with Aquatic Adventures. He enjoyed it so much that he decided to cross over to SDI and teach with us. He’s excited about training students of every level in Ohio.
