REQUIREMENTS

You need to have an Open Water dive certification.
The Spectre dive boat goes to very beginner friendly dive sites that don’t require advanced certification. All dives are designed to stay within recreational diving limits and are a great spot to dive if you are a new or seasoned diver.

TRIP DESCRIPTION

The kelp forest and the sea lions are the biggest draws for diving the Channel Islands. The Spectre boat generally goes to Santa Cruz or Anacapa islands. Anacapa is an island not to be missed as it is marine protected and sea lions will come there by the hundreds! This is definitely an experience you should have if you love sea lions and witnessing their playful manner underwater. Most of the area around the Channel Islands is protected, which offers fantastic opportunities for underwater photography and underwater sightseeing

Departure Harbor: Ventura Harbor
Destination(s): Anacapa and Santa Cruz islands

• Departs from Ventura Harbor at 7AM and returns around 4PM.
• All trips are full, single-day trips and include three unguided dives

PACKAGE INCLUDES

• 4-nights hotel accommodation near the harbor (breakfast included)
• 1 night hotel accommodation near LAX airport
• 3 unguided dives off the California Channel Islands of Anacapa or Santa Cruz
• Air fills
• All drinks (non-alcoholic), snacks, and breakfast and lunch (when on the boat)
• An outdoor barbecue at lunch

Not Included: All flights, ground transportation, meals (except for lunch onboard the dive boat and breakfast at the Ventura Harbor hotel), Dive Guide (option to pay $350/day for guide, max 3 people per guide) and rental gear.

Ethereal kelp forests draw droves of divers to Catalina every year, promising flittering garibaldi and the elusive chance to encounter endangered giant black sea bass. Beyond these headliners, divers can explore peaks and caves or hunt lobsters in the refreshing Pacific waters.
