Hello Adventurers!

As wetsuit diving season in Ohio draws to a close, we'd like to take a moment to congratulate all of our students on their accomplishments this year!

At Aquatic Adventures Ohio, we take pride in the fact that our students don't pay for their certifications—they earn them. Every certification represents hard work, dedication, and the skills needed to become a safe and confident diver.

We've had a wonderful season and look forward to seeing everyone continue their diving adventures next year.

To everyone who earned a new certification with us this year, whether it was your first or your latest, give yourself a pat on the back. You've earned it!

Underwater Achievements

If you've met our Director of Travel, Marty Weingartner, you'll know he's passionate about diving, food and underwater photography/videography. Marty recently returned from his second home (or so it seems), Bonaire. Marty participated in a week-long underwater videography workshop where he was awarded top video Single Shot Video catagory.

Santa Is Diving Into AAO!

Santa's trading his sleigh for scuba gear! Join us December 13th for a unique opportunity to get your photo taken underwater with Santa! Certified divers can jump right in, while future divers ages 8 and up can join the fun through our Discover Scuba or Future Buddies programs.

We're also working on incorporating a holiday toy drive into the event to help spread some Christmas cheer to local families. More details coming soon!

2026 Adventures

Dec 5–12 | Roatan — We’re heading back to Seagrape Plantation. This is a diver favorite with Ben as the trip lead. Sign up is closed.

2027 Expeditions

April 17–24 | Bahamas — Juliet Liveaboard. Dive with the Bimini Hammerheads. 1 Aft Ensuite Bedshare remain. Sign up here.

July 10-17 | Grenada — Selling out quickly! Known as the Wreck Diving Capital of the Caribbean, Grenada is the perfect destination for wreck lovers — and we'll be offering Wreck Diver specialty training opportunities in connection with the trip. Training may include local dives, dives in Grenada, or a combination of both, with details to come.

July 31–Aug 7 | Egypt — Red Sea Expedition with a Total Solar Eclipse during the trip. Limited spots available. Details on pre- and post-trip excursions to Egypt's most famous sites are now available!.

Sept 11–18 | Saint Lucia — A staff and guest favorite, Anse Chastanet Resort in St. Lucia, is back! This is a wonderful trip that is always a blast.

Dec 4-11 | Roatan — Escape the Ohio winter and join us at Fantasy Island Resort in Roatan! With 15 boat dives, unlimited shore diving, Nitrox, meals, drinks, and seven nights at an all-inclusive resort included, this trip is all about diving as much as you want — and relaxing on the beach when you don't.

2028 Expeditions

Feb 21-29 | Truk Lagoon — The wrecks of Operation Hailstone lie waiting for us in Chuuk Lagoon (Truk). Perfect for Advanced Adventure Diver all the way through Technical Diving. Only HALF the spots remain.

April 12-22 | Fiji — Discover the soft coral capital of the world! From vibrant reefs bursting with color to incredible marine life, Fiji offers some of the most spectacular diving in the South Pacific. This trip is already NEARLY SOLD OUT! July 16-23 | Sea of Cortez — Join us on the Quino del Mar Liveaboard in the sea dubbed "The World's Aquarium" by Jacques Cousteau.

Sept 2-9 | Bonaire — Eat, Dive, Sleep & Repeat at Buddy Dive Resort. This budget-friendly destination is a diver favorite! Enjoy boat diving plus unlimited shore diving in one of the Caribbean's top dive destinations. Details on an additional week, villa style, are coming.

Dec 3-10 | Dominica — Join us in Dominica for an unforgettable week of diving volcanic reefs, dramatic walls, and the world-famous Champagne Reef while staying at the beautiful Fort Young Hotel. If you're looking for incredible diving paired with lush rainforests, waterfalls, and natural hot springs, this is the trip for you!

2029- The Adventure Continues

Early June | Galapagos — Only one spot remains. Join us aboard the Humboldt Explorer for this bucket-list adventure featuring hammerheads, rays, sea lions, marine iguanas and some of the most incredible diving on the planet — once this spot is gone, it’s gone!

NYE | Australia — Still in the works but the pre-trip will be NYE Fireworks followed by a liveaboard on the Great Barrier Reef.
