Hello Adventurers,

I hope you are having an amazing summer! It’s been a busy couple of months for us while the summer diving season is in full swing.  

We have some important updates and some killer short-term deals in our newsletter this month, so please take a few moments to review. 

Important Updates & Deals

Please bring your gear in for service by August 11th if you need the typical 2 week or less turnaround. From August 25th through September 25th, our turnaround may be 4 weeks due to staff leave. 

We will be closed for retail on Labor Day weekend -  Saturday, August 30th through Monday, September 1st. Please be sure to grab any rental gear or tank fills you need by Friday August 29th. You'll also get the same rental gear pricing as a typical weekend. So get up to 4 days of rental gear for the price of 2!

Sales Tax Holiday is back and runs August 1st- August 14th. That’s right, you can get your much needed scuba gear tax free (on gear $500.00 or less).  

Our loss is your gain. We ordered a few extra 5mm women’s suits that we didn’t need. These are a premium wetsuit that could be yours for nearly half off the MSRP. It’s a deal so good we aren’t allowed to tell you the price unless you call into the shop or stop by: 614-5453483.

One of the most fun and exciting courses is filling up fast. The Rescue Diver course provides great education for those wanting-- to be a better diver and better dive buddy. Additionally, it is a perquisite to becoming a Dive Pro. Sign up now for the Rescue Course and get the Divemaster Course at our cost!

Travel Updates 

Welcome back to our Portugal travelers! I've heard great feedback to far and look forward to hearing all the details. Next trip will be Florida Keys in August followed by St Lucia in September. 

Trips are booking up fast - Roatan sold out in 1 week - so I recommend putting that deposit down ASAP if you're interested in an upcoming group trip. 

• February 2026: St Croix on the Juliet - We sold out our last trip to St Croix, so book fast!
• April 2026: Cozumel - join us for a special, affordable Earth Day trip 
• May 2026: Bonaire Tech week - 7 spots left
• September 2026: Maldives - Full info now available!

Events 

• The next Dive Club Meetup will be at 6:30pm on Thursday, August 7th at Louie's Latino American Kitchen in Hilliard.   
• Critter Chat is tonight at 6pm, July 29th, focused on the Florida Keys. Stop on by! Next one is September 10th. Sign up here. 
• The next Gear Up event will feature "understanding cylinders" on August 27th. Its free with limited registration - sign up here. 
• Shawnee Hills Safety Day August 16th from 3:00pm-6:00pm. AAO will have a booth set up. Plenty of fun for the family. AirVac Medical Helicopter will be landing at 3:00pm. Live music, Bounce Houses, Dunk Tanks and more. 9321 Hillcrest Dive, Shawnee Hills.
