Hello Adventurers,

Happy fall! Even though the cooldown may cut our diving season a week or two short,  fall is truly my favorite. I hope you were able to maximize your summer months and get out for some dives, either locally or globally. You know we always have great options for you globally!

While my summer didn't hold as much diving as it has in the past, I still had a blast diving on the Italy trip and have really enjoyed completing my dive master open water training - coming to a close this weekend. Hope to see you out there!

End of Open Water Season

Here are some great opportunities to still make the most of the open water season:

  • Dry Suit Diver - the season sure doesn't end in October for dry suit divers! We currently have classes available in October and December. Sign up here and join us for the dry suit season.
  • Open Water Diver/Trip Bundle - available for any student who has completed or plans to complete their academics and confined water with us in Ohio. We are offering free certification dives on the Grand Cayman and Cozumel trips - both led by our instructors. Simply register for those trips and let us know you are completing your certification with us in the notes or email us at training@aquaticadventuresohio.com.
  • If you still need to complete your Open Water Diver certification dives in Ohio, we only have 4 spots left for the season - sign up here or give us a call at 614-545-3483.
  • We also have instructors up at Gilboa every weekend through October 22nd. So, if you need to squeeze in a specialty certification dive or just want to come hang out - please reach out.

Travel

There were two great trips this past month and I couldn't be more jealous I missed out. St Lucia at the start of the month, led by Marty Weingartner. I highly recommend following him on Facebook if you aren't already - he's an amazing photographer. The St Lucia group was spoiled by great dive conditions and amazing food. It sounds like we must go back to the Anse!

The second was a Dive Club camping trip to Port Sanilac, MI. The group dove four different wrecks in Lake Huron - down to 117 feet! They had a great time with Double Action Dive Charters.

Last call for two trips:

  • Grand Cayman in November, led by Mike Myers (Head of Instruction) - 1 male spot left
  • Maldives in January, led by yours truly - 1 male or female spot available. Richard Martin, one of our instructors, is also joining us for this trip.

If you are interested in a trip that is sold out - please check with us. We are happy to check on availability and we can also put you on the waitlist in case there may be a cancellation.

We have plenty of spots available for three upcoming trips through April:

Here is where you can find all of our upcoming travel.

Upcoming Events

Our next Monthly Travel Social is coming up on October 11th at 5:30pm. Meet other trip goers, potential roommates, and get details on upcoming trips.

We are hosting a gear showcase event with our TUSA/Waterproof rep, Allie Strako, on October 23rd at 6:30pm. Allie will be sure to bring all the goodies. Come and check out any new gear and also get your hands on gear we don't carry at the shop. RSVP here on Facebook.

Hope to see you in the shop soon!
