Hello Adventurers,
There are only two months remaining in the typical open water season, if you can believe it. We have had such a wonderful season this year and are on track to beat certification figures from last year.
I'm particularly proud of how well we have done certifying new dry suit divers, due to adding 2 more dry suit instructors to the bench this year. We have performed better than 2021 and 2022 combined so far and the dry suit season is nowhere near over.
Let's end the season with a bang! Here is where you can refer new divers if you are looking to get loved ones certified before the season ends. We have many spots still available in late September and early October.
Travel
As always, the Juliet crew for the Bimini, Bahamas trip did not disappoint. The trip was led by Richard Martin and our customers were spoiled with two more of our Dive Masters on board, Angel Kowalsi and Josh George. Congrats to Anne Speakman, who completed her Deep Diver certification during the trip! The next trip on the Juliet is in March to St Croix.
We have 11 people signed up for Grand Cayman in November. We still have 1 male looking for a roommate and 2 more rooms reserved. Mike Myers, our Head of Instruction is leading this trip. So, it's perfect for new divers to complete their certification dives or for checking off those specialties like Night, Deep and Navigation. Please complete a registration form if interested.
The Maldives trip that I'm leading in January continues to be a hit. Our instructor, Richard Martin, is also joining me - so another great option for training. We have 1 female and 1 male currently looking for a roommate. We do plan to do a stopover in Dubai on the way back and you can bet we will be hitting Deep Dive, the famous indoor dive site!
Two other winter warmers we expect to sell well:
- Cozumel in February - a 4 day and 7 day option! Led by Jamie Rankin (Instructor)
- Roatan in April - Led by me :-)

Classes
We have two unique classes coming up in September you don't want to miss out on:
- Wreck Diver - for those who just recently completed their Deep Diver, you now qualify for this class
- Sidemount
And we have some specialties on the calendar through the rest of the year, like:
We are hoping to offer one more Rescue Diver class before the end of the season as well. Check our website in the coming weeks or give us a shout for updates.
Upcoming Events
The Dive Club will be traveling to Port Sanilac for some wreck diving in Lake Huron September 9th - here are those details if you'd like to join.
Our Monthly Travel Social is coming up on September 13th at 5:30pm. Meet other trip goers, potential roommates, and get details on upcoming trips.
