Hello Adventurers,
It has been so great welcoming so many of you to our new space. As we had hoped, we have benefited from a great increase in foot traffic due to the convenient location.
Snorkelers have shared the greatest percentage of new customers since opening on January 8th and we couldn’t be more thrilled.
We are so excited to get our new sign installed the first week of March and have planned our Grand Opening for April 20th. More details to come!
Classes
We have been working hard with our instructors to get some favorites back on the calendar:
- Equipment Specialist
- First Response – these are a pre-requisites for Rescue Diver
Now that we have added more instructors who can teach these classes, we will be offering them more regularly.
We have spots left in the April Dry Suit Diver class, if you're looking to start your season early.
Open water season starts in May (weather dependent) and we already have classes you can sign up for from June through September!
- Open Water Diver Certification Dives – remember, you have a year from when you started our academics to complete your certification. These weekends fill up fast
- Advanced Adventure Diver – Great for new divers looking to accelerate their skill development. This class involves some online academics followed by 5 open water dives over 2 days at Gilboa. You will learn skills in deep, navigation, night, buoyancy plus search and recovery
- Deep Diver
- Underwater Navigation Diver
- Rescue Diver
Travel Updates
The January Maldives trip with Dubai extension was an absolute success. I have yet to get such positive feedback on a trip. We did the central route this time and are thinking of offering another trip in the coming years focused on the southern route. Please shoot me a note if you might be interested!
2024 trips with spots still available:
New Trips!
- Our December Belize trip is now live and ready for registration! We will be at Ramon’s Village December 7-14th. Tim Brown, one of our Instructor Trainers, will be leading this trip and we have gone all out for this one. All flights and 19 dives are included in this unique package. - An opportunity to add Cayman Brac this summer came our way and we jumped on it. We will be staying at the Cayman Brac Beach Resort and diving with Reef Divers again July 13-20th. More info coming soon!
Events
Our monthly Travel Social is at a different restaurant in the Bethel Rd area each month. Next one is scheduled for 6:30pm, March 18th at Cilantro Latin. Absolutely delicious Venezuelan cuisine. You can RSVP here on Facebook.
As I mentioned, our Grand Opening is scheduled for April 20th from 10am-4pm. I will have more details for you next month, but please mark your calendars.
