Hello Adventurers,
Happy summer! There is much to celebrate this month. My canine buddy, Mac, turned 5 today.
I also started a new role at SECORE - Interim Director of Administration. The organization is experiencing amazing opportunities for growth. I will be lending my expertise to help overcome the challenges of growth and cannot wait to share more regarding their great work building capacity in coral restoration around the world.
I couldn't be more excited to be closer to the impact - ensuring a future for coral reefs. A passion I'm sure we all share. I'm so thankful to our team here at AAO, who have enabled me to take on this important work. Most will be remote with some travel required, but you will still see me at the shop and events.
Class Updates
Deep Diver classes have been extremely popular this season. We are working on adding more options for you in August and September.
New additions on the calendar:
The classics that still have openings:
- Advanced Adventure Diver – Great for new divers looking to accelerate their skill development. This class involves some online academics followed by 5 open water dives over 2 days at Gilboa. You will learn skills in deep, navigation, night, buoyancy plus search and recovery.

Travel Updates
We are now up to 21 travelers for the Belize trip in December - cheers! We were just notified by the resort that they had 2 Jungle Deluxe rooms come available ($325pp* room upgrade). Events
Next weekend, June 29-30, is the White Star Quarry camping weekend for the Aquatic Adventures Dive Club! New and experienced divers are invited. Much diving fun is planned and I hope to see you there. We are offering 10% off rental for all members. You can find more details here on the Facebook event page.
