Hello Adventurers, 

The dive club weekend at Gilboa was so much fun, I hope you’ve seen the photos and videos posted on the group page here on Facebook. For once, my health did not stand in my way of diving that weekend. I got to drysuit dive again for the second time. Much fun was had – especially laughing at me when I flooded my suit. Right of passage, right?  

I couldn’t be more thrilled about how active our dive club is, and it really comes down to one man’s leadership and dedication – Denny Stephens. Denny – you are so loved, and I cannot thank you enough for all you have done for the club, the shop and our community.  

Labor Day Class Sale 

Looking for something to do with family or friends this Labor Day weekend? Beat the heat and join us for the following classes, at 15% off: 

Discover Snorkel – for ages as young as 4 
Discover Scuba – 10 and up, existing divers welcome! 
Scuba Review – refresh those skills and get back in the water 

Open Water Season 

We have about a third of the season left, if you can believe it! Time has really flown this summer. Comfortable diving usually ends by mid-October so make sure you sign up for any open water classes you have on your list.  

One new offer, courtesy of our Head of Instruction Mike Myers, is Computer Nitrox up at Gilboa. So, if you’re up there for open water training, or even a day of fun diving, you can take advantage. Call into the shop to sign up.

Upcoming quarry training classes: 

• Open Water Certification Dives – we added more in early October! 
• Advanced Adventure Diver 
• Deep Diver  - almost sold out! 
• Dry Suit Diver - extend your season! 
• Night/Limited Visibility Diver 

If interest is high enough to add more to the schedule, we will. Be sure to shoot us a note about your interests at training@aaoscuba.com.

Travel Updates  

After a short summer break from global trips, we are departing for Greece in a few weeks! Be sure to follow us on Facebook or Instagram to keep up with our shenanigans. 

Our final trip of 2024, Belize, is still sold out. You can join the waitlist by registering here. 

We’ve been hard at work getting our 2025 trip webpages up: 

• February – working on a similar Cozumel trip as last year with a day trip to a cenote 
• April: Grand Turk – NEW and during humpback whale season! 
• June/July: The Azores & Portugal – coming soon! 
• August: Florida Keys on the Juliet 
• September: St Lucia – rooms are booking up fast 
• November: Little Cayman – webpage coming soon 

Events  

The Aquatic Adventures Dive Club monthly meetup is next Thursday, September 5th, at Louies Grill in Hilliard. 

They are also having one more camping weekend this season. This time we will be exploring Lakeview in Lancaster the weekend of 9/7-9/8. See all the details here on the Facebook event page.
