December Newsletter
Hello Adventurers,
I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving! We were missing a key family member at ours, Mac - our Olde English Bulldog - and it just wasn't the same. He had been hospitalized for 5 days. The past few weeks have been extremely rough, but Mac pulled through and we couldn't be more thankful. He is eager to be back at work, welcoming our customers at the door, but he still has some healing to do.

Winter Classes
Don't let winter hold you back from getting your scuba certification. Our winter Open Water Diver group classes are availble every other weekend. You can complete your academics and confined water training in Ohio and then finish your certification dives on a trip or with us down in Pompano Beach, Florida.
Whether you're working to stack up your 4 specialties for the Advanced Diver certification or take your skills to the next level, here is our winter specialty class lineup:
- Drysuit Diver - we certified 4 divers this past weekend!
- Advanced Buoyancy Control Diver - a pool only class, no academics
- Computer Nitrox Diver or TDI Nitrox, the technical version - unlocks longer bottom times and shorter surface intervals; classroom only
- Equipment Specialist Diver - an extended class taught by our Head of Service, Ryan Parkevich, is being offered January 12th; classroom only
- Marine Ecosystem Awareness - expand your knowledge of the underwater world; classroom only
Been a year or more since your last dive? We offer two options:
- If it's been about a year, splash in for an unsupervised dive at the pool called an equipment check
- If it's been 2 years or more, you are required to complete a Scuba Review course before going on your next trip
Thank you for your continued support of our dive community. We hope to see you at the shop soon!
Happy Holidays,
Katie Murphy
